Wholesome nutrition, mindful eating and a nourished diet are the best medicine for Body Pains & PCOD

Case History: Sheena suffered from fibromyalgia and had body pain. Apart from this, she had irregular periods for which she was consuming hormonal medications. She used to feel drowsy throughout the day, especially after her meals. Due to prolonged stress and panic attacks, she was also put on antidepressants. The severity of her pain resulted in insomnia, making it challenging for her to sleep peacefully at night. She followed a continuous cycle of eating, sleep and fatigue after every meal, further deteriorating her pains. This cycle started in the morning after breakfast and continued throughout the day. She was looking forward to bettering her through food and holistic health.


Approach by the best nutritionist in Hyderabad, Telangana, India: We analysed her food diary and identified that her meals had a high glycaemic load, which caused insulin fluctuations and sugar spikes. We gave her a balanced diet comprising complex carbohydrates, adequate, efficient protein and sufficient fats so that she could feel energetic after eating meals and work with ease without having to take a forced nap. We gave her a nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory diet so that she could see the difference in her pains. Results: After following the prescribed regimen for a week, she started feeling more energetic and productive as her sleeping habits after consuming meals were greatly reduced. After a couple of months, her doctor reduced her depressant medication as she seemed more upbeat and energetic and eventually stopped them after a while as they could see visible changes in her energy levels. In 6 months, her periods also became regular without any hormonal medications.
