CASE STUDY & SUCCESS STORIES

Name: Raghav

Age: 45

Sex: Male

BMI: 26

Diagnosis: Specific blood reports and dietary recall

About: Raghav a long distance runner used to run 5-10 kms and was considering participating in a marathon. He was not confident because he would be fully exhausted after running 5 – 10 Km.

According to his reports, we found high levels of Hs-CRP and high levels of cholesterol which indicate inflammation: a reason for delayed recovery rate. Upon meeting him, we noticed some belly fat as well, all of which were inappropriate for his physical activity levels.

Treatment: We gave him a fitness program which took care of his pre-workout and post-workout nutrition along with a protein-energy balance, anti-inflammatory meal plan that helped him recover faster, quicker, and better.

Furthermore, Deepika monitored his optimum protein requirement to ensure that he remained energetic throughout the day.

Results: Raghav completed his first full marathon (42 km) at his personal best of less than 4 hours and with enough energy to sustain himself without feeling tired. He also was able to recover much faster. With continued and dedicated follow up of our recommendations, within 3 months his Hs-CRP levels dropped down to 2.4 from 8, reducing inflammation and thoroughly enhanced his recovery rate.
