Case History- Vishal is an IT professional from the USA wanted to lose 20 pounds and sustain weight loss by following a healthy meal plan. He was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, his lipid parameters were out of range, and frequently suffered from bloating, indigestion, and lethargy. Vishal and his wife have a very active social life and travel around the world.

He preferred chicken when he went for work and helped him choose take-away options that suited his body type and calorie consumption. Since he was feeling hungry in the evening, we gave him a nutritious snack that comprised of vegetables & hummus/ yogurt/ eggs and nuts before he left work depending on his workout schedule and his plans for dinner. Since he had weak digestive health and he is an insulin-resistant body type, we gave him probiotics in the form of hung curd and hemp milk which suits his body type. We advised him to do short but out-of-comfort zone exercises and not exceed the intensity more to cause carb burning rather than fat burning. Whenever he had indulgences, through our detox plan he was able to lose the weight he gained in a few days.

Results- Vishal lost 20 pounds in 5 months and improved all of his health parameters. His triglycerides had reduced from 254 to 78 mg/dl, his cholesterol reduced from 186 to 137 mg/dl, and his HbA1c from a pre-diabetic range reduced to 5.4. The hypothyroidism condition also improved significantly and therefore his thyroid medications were reduced to 75 mcg. He was now energetic throughout the day and did not have any hunger pangs. He has been able to sustain his weight loss despite extensive travel and very active social life.
