CASE STUDY & SUCCESS STORIES

Name: Meena

Age: 35

Sex: Female

BMI: 26

Issues: Meena is a 35-year-old woman and a mother of two young children residing in France. During her second pregnancy, she had gained about 6 kgs. Although she wasn't concerned about the weight gain, she was more worried about her low energy levels. She was an ambitious lady and was keen on pursuing her career fairly aggressively while managing her children and also juggling with her family responsibilities. Her poor energy levels however, came in the way. She had to rest for nearly 10-12 hours to be able to carry out her household responsibilities and manage her children. As a result, she was not

able to concentrate on her career.

Treatment: We began with a program that focused on her current diet and daily routine. When we analyzed her dietary recall, it was clear that she was living on quick energy giving foods and at random times. There was no proper routine in her day. Whenever she was hungry, she would grab a bite of foods that were available around. We helped her plan her day and week properly. We gave Meena protein rich breakfast options that are available for Indians in the part of France where she lived. We provided with simple, balanced meals that would give her consistent energy throughout the day. Our main focus was to provide meals that actually fuel her body type in the long run. We included foods with healthy protein and

fat such as cheese, which is a local food along with ghee, avocado, eggs, etc., in her diet, saddled abundantly with local seasonal vegetables.

Results: Within a week, her energy levels improved significantly. In a month, she was able to work more efficiently and was even able to make time for exercise. In four months, she was able to work for 15-18 hours straight, without needing a long break or rest for hours. In about three months, she lost eight kgs with reduced belly fat and is able to maintain her weight and metabolism till date. Currently, Meena runs three businesses while actively taking care of her children, and also manages her household.
