CASE STUDY & SUCCESS STORIES

Name: Aditya

Age: 29 years

Gender: Male

Profession: Employee in Finance/Investment

Case History: Aditya, a young man of 29 years old, was keen to lose fat on the weight line and the excess 5 kgs. He took to an aggressive weight training program under a coach to achieve his desired goals. After following the exercise regimen, he did not see much improvement to his waistline and his muscle: fat ratio also did not see any improvements. Further, he used to feel tired during the day and did not have enough stamina to go through the extensive workout curated by his physical fitness trainer.

Approach by the best fitness nutritionist: Based on his dietary recall, we calculated his overall nutrition composition during the day and in every meal.. Our focus was to ensure he has enough energy for the workout, feel energized through the day and lose the required fat and inches. His dietary recall suggested that he is having excess protein at breakfast which was causing lethargy as over 30 grams of protein in 1 meal can put a lot of pressure on the body from a digestibility point of view. The rest of the meals lacked the required protein. His vegetable intake which is required to give the body adequate vitamins, minerals and fiber was also inadequate and therefore making the body more acidic and therefore not letting the body let go of the excess fluids. . His reports also suggested. B12 and D3 deficiency further was aggravating his lethargy and impacted his overall recovery rate therefore adequate supplementation was recommended. All the meals and combinations were customized to reduce his body fat and ensure muscle retention and recovery. The nutrient composition was changed depending on his workout and non-workout days. It was made sure that he does not starve and met his nutrient needs from various food sources. Variety was maintained in his diet. He used to live alone and worked from home according to Singapore's timings. Hence, the easiest and the most nutritious meal plan was given so that he can cook himself and follow the plan without any hustle. For the days when he could not manage the cooking, he used to order from Fit4life kitchen and the most appropriate meals were given to him which were delicious and healthy. Correct nutrition and lifestyle education was given so that he can make informed food choices.

Results:

There was a sustainable reduction of 3 inches on the waist in 45 days, came down by 2 sizes and his muscle: fat ratio in his machine showed significant improvement. He lost the excess 5kgs over a 3-month period. Since he travelled extensively for work, he was educated on food choices that would support his desired outcome. As he is a bachelor, there were days when he could not organize home-cooked meals and therefore support was given to choose meals from e-commerce platforms. As he was educated on making informed food choices, he has been able to sustain his results even without our active support.
